Immigration Is Importing AIDS, New Figures Reveal #
Immigration into Britain from Africa is directly responsible for a dramatic rise in the number of AIDS victims last year, new figures have revealed.
According to figures released for the North West of England by the Health Protection Agency in conjunction with the Centre for Public Health at Liverpool John Moore’s University, 42 percent of sufferers contracted the disease and brought it into the country, and of these, 74 percent were black Africans.
The data from 2008 shows a rise in the number of HIV carriers, with the total number of people in treatment reaching 5,767, 11 percent more than 2007 when the number was 5,212.
There were 522 new cases of the virus in Greater Manchester last year — a 13 percent increase, which reversed a downward trend in 2007 and 2006.
The rise means 3,418 people in the region received treatment for HIV in 2008 — double the number in 2003, as anti-retroviral drugs become more widely available and life expectancies improve.
Across the North West, 5,767 HIV-positive people accessed treatment and care in 2008. Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire now have the same number of HIV-positive people as Manchester had seven years ago.
According to the figures, some 35 percent of people receiving treatment or care for HIV in the region were from ethnic minorities.
In practice, this means that British taxpayers are increasingly being called upon to finance anti-retroviral drugs for Africans who have not contributed to the upkeep or building of the National Health Service.
The figures incontrovertibly prove that immigration is importing AIDS into Britain.
