How is this PC? This is the truth... It has been known that a good # of todays arabs are descended from Jews who were forced to convert. I don't think that this story has anything to do with PC. The fact is that there are Arabic Jews and many had been forced to convert to islam during the islamic conquest.

But the article doesnt say that they are Jews... The headline reads:

Bedouin Sheikh: My People are of Jewish Descent

It also says "Jewish roots" which doesn't necessarily mean they are Jewish. I think that Conversos, Jews who were forced to convert during the Inquisition in Spain have an opportunity to return to Judaism... If these Arabs have a true Jewish soul and they can co-exist with their Jewish brothers and sisters from the diaspora, then I support them. If they are using this claim to usurp the Jewish state then they should be shunned.

People should care if these bedouins are willing to "undo" the mistake by renouncing all Islamic culture and adopting a Jewish pro-Israel identity.    I agree that it is irrelevant and pointless if they refuse to cease identifying with Islam and Islamic culture.   But it is a very interesting and good thing if they see themselves as having been wronged by Islam and therefore wanting to reject bedouin culture for a more Jewish existence.   In THAT case it would be something great.   I don't see any indication one way or the other by INN's report whether it's case a (irrelevant, pointless), or case b (great thing).    Maybe there is some indication in the video about the bedouin's feelings in that regard, but I didn't watch it...

The fact that they refer to it as a "mistake" may be the slight indication that they see that episode as a negative historical circumstance and wish to undo the injustice done to them.
