New York City: A Target Once Again By Rabbi Yaakov Spivak
The Sages of the Talmud make no bones about it: “He who is merciful to the cruel will one day be cruel to the merciful.”
By bringing the 9/11 terrorists to New York City for trial, by freeing them from the no nonsense rules of a military court of justice, the Obama Administration has been merciful to the cruel.
By making New York City a prime terrorist target again while these trials proceed, this President has created the real, frightening potential for cruelty to the merciful people of a city that has suffered more than enough.
Obama really is disconnected from the pain of New York for the last eight years. Now, when many people are first getting fear of Manhattan out of their minds, Obama comes along and cranks up the intimidation factor again.
Then there is the disgrace of giving these terrorist murderers a stage from which to spew their venom. Can you imagine the families of the 3,000 murder victims having to listen to a hate circus a few blocks from where their loved ones were slaughtered?
What on earth was the Obama Administration thinking?
