One of my favorite Israeli blogs seems to have been removed...

I am surprised because Carl in Jerusalem has been blogging for many years, and has been given awards for one of the best Israeli blogs...

Why would eBlogger.com take his blog down?

From what I can tell it seems that google considered his blog as 'malware' and deleted it... He is appealing this and the soonest the blog will be back online will be possibly by Monday or Tuesday...

I wrote eBlogger a note and indicated I was pretty upset about it...

During the presidential campaign, Google was believed to have shut down several anti-Obama blogs.  Just so you know, the Google big wigs are HUGE Obama supporters.  So chances are that Google got offended by what your friend posted on his blog.
