Italian PM Defends Israel Against UN
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/Flash.aspx/179882(IsraelNN.com) While addressing the Knesset plenum on Wednesday, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi expressed opposition to United Nations efforts to delegitimize Israel, specifically mentioning the Durban Conference and the Goldstone Report. “We opposed Goldstone who tried to incriminate Israel for responding to Hamas rocket firing. I am proud that Italy knew to act on time during the bombing of Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Italy is proud of gestures such as our government’s refusal to attend the second Durban conference which sought to make intolerable accusations of racism and violence against Israel.”

Hebrew version of Arutz Sheva reports that the mother of Berlusconi saved a Jewish girl during the Holocaust. When a Nazi German policeman was about to arrest that girl at a train station, Rosa Berlusconi stood between him and the girl and said the people around won't let him to leave the station alive if he tries to take the girl.
