A couple of other thoughts come to mind.
1) Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney, who was a vocal supporter of Barack Hussein Obama during the 2008 Presidential Campaign, was named by BHO as U.S. Ambassador to Ireland.
2) Dan Rooney was the individual in the NFL who introduced the Rooney Rule, which forces each NFL team to interview a person who is considered a Minority according to the NFL, when there's an opening for an NFL Head Coach position. This past June, the following happened with the Rooney Rule:
" The NFL has extended its minority interviewing rule to include openings for general manager jobs and equivalent front-office positions, in addition to head coaching vacancies".
I'm all in favor of the most qualified person being hired, regardless of Race or related factors. There have been some Black General Managers and Head Coaches in the NFL who have done a great job. The problem is when Affirmative Action is forced upon an NFL team by the league as a whole. The Rooney Rule is a form of Affirmative Action. People should be hired on merit and accepted to colleges on merit.
3) The Rooney Rule doesn't apply to ownership transactions ( when an NFL team is up for sale. ) Until the NFL applies this to ownership transactions, my take is the NFL owners are basically doing what Ted Kennedy did. Force Liberal policies down the throats of the American people. But instead of living in the same neighborhood with those you are trying to elevate through liberal policies, Ted Kennedy lived in exclusive Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.
