Hundreds of ultra-Orthodox who rioted in Jaffa Wednesday hurled racial epithets at police officers of Ethiopian descent and called others "Nazis."

 
Five officers were injured from cinder blocks thrown at them by the haredim, who also lit garbage bins on fire and blocked main traffic arteries.

 

Hundreds of haredim have been gathering to protest against excavation works in the town's Andromeda Hill on a daily basis in recent weeks. Wednesday morning was no different, and hundreds arrived at the construction site and called out against the workers there.

 

The demonstrators shouted toward Commander Yoram Ohayon, who headed the police force, "Nazi, you look like (Adolf) Eichmann. You will pay for this."

 

Fifteen protestors were detained during the riot.

You are conflating the issues and labelling people.   But I'm afraid you have no idea what you're talking about.

This is a political protest a particular sect within the haredim and particular group (who commonly protest all manner of things) are involved with.  They are against the archaeology apparently.   Whenever they protest, they call the officers nazis, racial slurs, whatever else.   The protesting groups are frequently members of extreme antizionist sects such as Toldos Aharon, so it has nothing to do with being haredim or thinking certain people are "not real Jews."  They simply unleast epithets against whoever is the political foe of the moment.   But what's that got to do with thousands of other people who don't protest and have nothing to do with this nonsense?    The people involved with these protests are usually low-lives who cannot achieve in the bet midrash nor at anything else, so they take to the streets in boredom and misplaced allegiance to "rebbes" who oversee these movements.    You are wrong to take out your frustration on all haredim.   Vast majority is not interested in petty protests about usually stupid issues.
