Shalom Chaim ha'Chacham,
I hope you've had a productive week. I am happy to announce I have a date this upcoming week with a nice Jewish girl I met. I wondered what your opinions were when it comes to dating, and in particular, the bill. I recently had a debate with my friend in which I, a traditionalist, proposed that on a first date I should treat the girl to dinner. My friend on the other hand felt that you should "go dutch" with your date (splitting the bill), or at least only pay for it if the girl offers to pay for half. I'm curious to know what your opinion is on this matter, and if you might relate a story in which an issue of splitting or paying the bill came up on a first date of yours in the past.
Also, I was recently coming home on the LIRR when the train stopped at Jamaica and these two animal thugs wearing "dorags", wearing there shorts down to their ankles, came on the train with their son/nephew (I couldn't tell), and one of these thug monkeys yells to the child who might have been 7, "You sit their boy! Sit there, and don't move!". Of course he had his monkey nephew sit next to me, trying to enjoy a book in peace. These two animals proceed to have a filthy conversation, one of whom consistently mentioned that he was done with his seven years in jail, was never going back, and that he had grown up. I shook my head with disgust.
I wound up giving up my seat so I could get away from these baboons, and luckily my stop was soon thereafter. Chaim, honestly, what is wrong with these animals? They can't even address their own kin with names better than, "boy". May they both go back to jail, and stay there! What is your opinion of this exchange? I know you've suffered similar ones.
Thank you and G-d bless you and the JTF. Sincerely,
David ben Zion
