Obama's Terror Supporting Friend To Challenge Israeli Blockade
Remember Rashid Khalidi from the run-up to Obama's ascension to America's savior? I know, there was a long list of media unmentionables, but this one is a terror supporting anti-Semite....or Arab for short. Here is some background from 2008.
The board of a nonprofit organization [Arab American Action Network, or AAAN, for which Khalidi's wife, Mona, serves as president....ed. note] on which Sen. Barack Obama served as a paid director alongside a confessed domestic terrorist [William Ayres...ed. note] granted funding to a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a "catastrophe" and supports intense immigration reform, including providing drivers licenses and education to illegal aliens.
The co-founder of the Arab group in question, Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, also has held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group
Some more of Khalidi here here, and here as if the above isn't enough.
So what is crazy Rashid up to these days? Raising funds for a ship to challenge the Israeli blockade.
Rashid Khalidi, a friend of President Obama's active in Palestinian causes, has signed an appeal for funds to send to Gaza an aid ship that would be named after the president's best-selling book, "The Audacity of Hope."
A group calling itself U.S. Boat to Gaza is seeking $370,000 in the next month to send the ship in an effort to thwart the Israeli blockade on the Palestinian enclave controlled by the militant group Hamas.
Rashid was unaware of the ship name when he signed on, he says:
"But if the name is a problem for the administration, it can simply insist publicly that Israel lift the siege: end of problem, end of embarrassment," he wrote, "That of course would require it [the Administration, I guess...ed note] to respond to the systematic mendacity of those in Congress and elsewhere who support the siege, and indeed whatever else the Israeli government does."
Obama's buddy! Awesome group of dudes, Obama.
