Saudia Arabia vs. Iran

If the US withdraws from Iraq, could there be a proxy war between the two inside Iraq?

When Cheney visited Arab countries last week, the Saudis indicated to him that they don't want US troops to leave Iraq.  The Saudis rather have US fight in Iraq so they don't have to send troops there.
