German Chancellor Angela Merkel's cabinet has agreed to a proposed statute that would criminalize forced marriages in Germany, making them punishable with up to five years in prison. German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere says the legislation, which still needs to pass Parliament, was introduced because forced marriages are a serious problem in Germany.
Brigitte Gabriel, founder and president of ACT! for America and author of They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It, decides this is the latest European response to the Islamic cultural invasion brought about by massive Islamic immigration over the past three decades.
Brigitte Gabriel"The Europeans are learning after 30 years that you can be multicultural all you want; [but] what you have done is basically import cancer into your body that is now ruining your body to the point of death," she suggests. "And now, the Europeans are waking up and we are seeing resistance all across Europe -- from France banning the burqa [to] Italy following in the footsteps of France." She also notes the success of Gerd Wilders' party in the Netherlands and the German chancellor saying that "multiculturalism has failed in Germany."
Gabriel believes Europeans are waking up and are trying to resist in every way they can to slow Islamic immigration and stop the religion's practices, which she notes have become a real problem in their countries.
