Well, of course I like it, but...
"Proposed" I suspect is inaccurate in the sense that I haven't heard of this actually being proposed in Congress.
Article II seems to contradict Article IV. I would jettison Article IV. Also, some of the language could be construed other ways...keep in mind that a couple words in the Constitution have been ballooned to encompass massive bureaucracies. For example, this proposal states that the "individual right of conscience is sacrosanct" - does that include draft dodgers? It surely will fifty years from now when the Supreme Court rules based on that phrase.
Finally, the "proposal" does not address muslim tourists, who should also be banned.
I have a feeling someone drew this up at his kitchen table and tried to make it sound "lawyerly". Real law does not have all these comments and asides and observations and opinions. This "amendment" could be 1/10th the size it is and accomplish the same thing.
I'm all for it...alas, the prospects of passage are bleak...
