The Pentagon’s pain ray was originally developed as a crowd-control tool.  But, as these clips from military tests show, the millimeter-wave weapon could have a whole bunch of other applications, too.

For now. I can see it potentially being used against right wing demonstrators if the government decides things like tea parties are a national security threat.

But the government already has the means and methods for crowd control. I am more worried from covert actions such as monitoring communication and sniffing in our private information. Another thing is de-legalizing  the peoples' liberties to express themselves and organize.
