There are plenty of other places to get oil, such as Latin America, Africa, Canada etc.. In addition we now are pursuing alternative sources of energy. This situation can help make the world less dependent on Arab Oil, which is a good development. This is where the useless U.N needs to step in and hold the line... Egypt should be left to settle it's own conflicts however the canal needs to remain open...All this alternate energy stuff is great but in the short term it will do little to help keep people from shivering in their dark homes because the power company is unable to run their plants to generate electricity and there is nothing to put into the home heating oil tank ... The world economy can not sustain oil prices that are off the charts due to disruption.... About the only thing that has not caused the entire world economy do go down the tubes is the fact that oil consumption is lower then normal and so is the price... If this situation changes G-d only knows how crazy things could become.
