Israel To Build Druze Heritage Center

(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset passed a law on Monday which mandates the building of a Druze Heritage Center. The center will include a museum, archive, and a research center. The law was sponsored by MK Majalli Wahaba (Kadima), who is himself a member of the Druze community.

The center is intended to draw tourism from inside and outside Israel, and to help others to understand and respect the Druze tradition.

The Druze community numbers about 100,000 in Israel and one million worldwide.
