Question on Obama's (yemach shmo) Aipac appearance
« on: June 05, 2011, 02:35:50 PM »
When he called on Hamas to release Shalit, did anyone in the audience shout out "what about Pollard".  Not so much to embarass him but to let him know he cannot buy us off with meaningless gestures.  Obama has no influence at all with Hamas.  He cannot control whether they release Shalit.  The Israelis have already made clear they will give up hundreds (but not thousands) of Nazis for him.  Bibi has established the old joke of "we know you are a whore now we have to negotiate price.

But Pollard is someone Obama could free today or tomorrow with the stroke of a pen.  There have been plentry of calls for his release.  And at this point what purpose is served by keeping him in prison.  Will future spies of friendly nations say "you only have to spend 25 years in the worst prisons"?  There is virtually no risk to Obama in lettling Pollard go and unlike Shalit this is under his control.  Screw him and his hot air gesture and may those who ate it up at Aipac bow their heads in shame.
We all need to pray for Barack Obama, may the Lord provide him a safe move back to Chicago in January 2,013.
