Earlier today, I attended a rally outside of Anthony Weiner's office in Kew Gardens. The theme of the rally was for Weiner to resign. Having said that, there were a few vocal Weiner supporters. There was a large amount of individuals from the media covering this event. The following video I put together is part 1 of the rally:

Anthony Weiner decided to seek professional help at a treatment center. Yet, he refuses to resign from office. In essence, most of the people at today's rally believe that Weiner must resign, regardless of the fact that he will be receiving treatment.

Interestingly, there were at least two Liberal blacks at the rally who were vocal in their support for Anthony Weiner.

Black politicians would not even raise an eyebrow if they did this. Not to mention Bill Clinton, the first Black President.

Speaking of those who fit that category, someone at the rally was very vocal about Charlie Rangel ( as well as Anthony Weiner ) needing to resign.

Why would Rangel resign? He just got voted back in despite his scandal which could land normal people in prison. His predecessor Adam Clayton Powell fled the country to avoid a scandal and still got reelected. I don't like to make generalized statements but the voters in Harlem are not concerned about ethics. They sort of like it when their politicians cheat.

In addition to what you mentioned, the vast majority of individuals in Charlie Rangel's district who don't live in Harlem, voted for him in the 2010 election. Considering that in the election there was a righteous Conservative candidate ( Michel Faulkner ) who happens to be Black , it's a disgrace what transpired.

Conservatives could end affirmative action and invigorate the free market which would help them more than the welfare state ever did.

What form of treatment is available for a degenerate... This animal has to go from office... This is someone that had his eye on the position of mayor for the city of New York... If this animals thought processes are so far off that he thinks its OK to send elicit pictures of himself to females and possibly even some males what sort of policy could possible come out of his office... The only treatment center for this animal is line E at the unemployment center.

I agree completely. If the overwhelming majority of blacks start following the lead of Lt. Col. Allen West, Dr. Alan Keyes, and Michel Faulkner instead of the likes of Barack Hussein Obama, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton, that would be the best decision they could make Sadly, it's not likely to happen anytime soon.

Very well stated.

Ideally, Anthony Weiner resigns in the next 24 to 48 and Bob Turner emerges as the next elected official of the 9th Congressional District. Bob Turner received over 41 % of the vote in the 2010 election against Weiner. In a special election, with all the baggage that Weiner now has, I'm cautiously optimistic that Turner could beat the Democrat who would run against him. Many voters who barely went for Weiner in the last election could easily now want major change.

Thanks for the videos eb22! I don't understand WHY politicians have to resign. WHY can't they be fired? They should get no pension or insurance after that. If they resign, they still get all the benefits, so they are still being rewarded for being an awful employee. They disgust me how they think they are so above the law.

Let's not forget something very important. By doing what he did, Weiner has opened himself up for blackmail. He could be told to vote a certain way or else his perversions would be exposed. He's brought such shame to himself, his family and his office. Even if he were a conservative, I would say that he has to go. And I believe that he will go, too... and very soon.

It's a shame that he's a Jew, too. He's such an embarrassment to our people.

Related to what you mentioned, it's imperative that a Term Liimits law is passed for Congressional Representatives. No one should serve more than 12 years in Congress, in the same office. Anthony Weiner and many other ' representatives' act like they own the seat. In one of the videos from the rally that I put together or will put together in the coming days, someone shouted out this is the People's Seat! He's 100% correct.

Great points!

One interesting aspect on the Anthony Weiner situation is the difference of opinion of whether Anthony Weiner should remain in office or resign. From the standpoint that even with some people who I am in strong agreement on the vast majority of issues, we view the Weiner stay or go topic differently. Each side has valid points.
