This is reported more often from them though. I've seen several news stories about this topic. The incidents of boiling or microwaving their own babies are so common there's even a crude slang term for it "ghetto lobster". Of course they don't always actually eat them after cooking but I think it's related.

It could just be that their own are more convenient targets since they are closer at hand, and in the case of infants they are unable to fight back. You make a good point though about the fact that if there is this much internal violence they certainly wont' care for anyone else.
