Here are some videos to teach about the importance of remembering, and mourning, the destruction of our Holy Temple. The saddest day on the Jewish calendar is coming up in three weeks, these three weeks of mourning, called Tish B'Av.

Now that we have begun the nine days we should reduce pleasurable Torah study. This is a tough one for me because I really enjoy studying Torah. I am slowly reducing it to just studying things about the destruction {which I believe is permitted}.

Although music is prohibited I believe that chanting is permitted. Here is my favorite Rabbi from Tzfat praying at a tzadiks kaver on Tish B'Av...

Shalom Ephraim,

I don't believe that instrumental music is permitted although it is a leniency to allow a Capella (Vocal Only) music. But I believe that chanting prayers is allowed, as we do during the Eicha {Lamentations}.
