Quaker Oats doesn't have any official ties to the "Friends" church, so I see no real political reason to avoid them (other than just aversion to Quakers). Sometimes I eat Quaker oatmeal but normally I buy the off-brands because they are cheaper.
Oh ok thanks for the information. When I did a search for the Kellogg company they actually have several other brands that need to be avoided.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellogg_Company"The company's brands include Corn Flakes, Keebler, Pop-Tarts, Eggo, Yogo Bits, Cheez-It, Nutri-Grain, Rice Krispies, Bear Naked, Morningstar Farms, Famous Amos, Special K, All-Bran, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Club Crackers and Kashi."
That's kind of sucky for me because sometimes I eat some of the Morningstar farms foods and Kashi but I thought I'd put out the information there because sometimes big companies like that can hide under many different brand names.
