FIRST ON CNN: Boehner turns down request to meet with Russian delegation
Posted by CNN Congressional Reporter Lisa Desjardins
Washington (CNN) – House Speaker John Boehner turned down a request from Russian diplomats who hope to directly lobby the U.S. Congress and undercut President Barack Obama on Syria.
“The Speaker has declined the Russian embassy’s request that he meet with a delegation," said Boehner spokesman Michael Steel.
A spokesman for the Russian embassy in Washington told CNN Wednesday that diplomats sent an official request to congressional leaders to meet with them on Capitol Hill.
“We’re planning the visit,” an embassy spokesman told CNN. “We can’t tell you the exact time, but it will be next week.”
The embassy spokesman said only wide parameters are firm right now, that it will be members of both the upper and lower chambers of the Russian parliament and that they intend to meet with senators and House members of both political parties.
Russia, a Syrian ally and major trading partner, is closely tied with the Assad government and leaders in Moscow have vocally opposed U.S. military intervention in the conflict.

Under the prevailing environment of enmity and mistrust, any such meeting may only add fuel to the fire.

Syria: Pope warns Barack Obama that military strike would be 'futile' :
The Pope has warned US president Barack Obama that targeting Syria with military strikes would be a "futile pursuit".
In a sharply-worded intervention in the debate on the Syrian conflict, Pope Francis also accused world leaders of having stood by and allowed a "senseless massacre" to unfold in the country.

It can not be said that how much the Kings of the Earth will comply to this order/appeal from the Last One. However one thing shall be certain that whether the strike at Syria occurs or not but the protracted war of muslamic infighting shall continue till their end.

Have mercy... You even resort to quoting from the pope to make your case :::D The pope is correct that "targeting Syria with military strikes would be a "futile pursuit"... And I have to sadly admit I agree Putin's position on this issue far more than I do the Porch "Mongee" Presidents... As for this Pope being the last only time will tell. ::)

No attack on Syria, no matter what, say voters:
British voters oppose any military attack on Syria, even if it is proved beyond doubt President Bashar al-Assad’s government used chemical weapons on his own people, a opinion poll reveals.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/10293825/No-attack-on-Syria-no-matter-what-say-voters.html
Now the best option available to Cameron is to turn in to a humanitarian hermit or to put on the commando gear and paradrop himself directly in to Damascus war zone at an appropriate time. Actually the British citizens have somehow understood that the whole political exercise is being done only to support the muslamic terrorists at Syria so as to apply the brakes on the protracted war of muslamic infighting.
