Syria's President Bashar al-Assad warns US 'should expect everything' if he is attacked:

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has warned against possible reprisal attacks if the United States attacks Syria, saying that if there were military strikes, Americans can "expect every action."

Now if Obama attacks Assad and if Assad also retaliates, then it will be the beginning of another round of muslamic infighting. Then it can only be hoped that at least this part of the war shall be eco-friendly and accompanied with least collateral damages. However as a common objective both parties shall see and ensure to it that the city of Damascus shall turn in to a huge pile of ruins and rubble.

Syria: Congress turns on John Kerry for claiming strikes would be 'unbelievably small':

John Kerry's promise that US strikes on Syria would be "unbelievably small" was today dismissed as "unbelievably unhelpful" while confusion over the White House's strategy for intervention continued.

How funny is this.

US Secretary State: Assad has week to hand over chemical weapons:

US Secretary of State John Kerry says President Assad could hand over all his chemical weapons to the international community "in the next week" to prevent military intervention.

Whatever it will be, but it is an interesting idea.

Only ground troops will end bloodshed in Syria, says commander of UN during Rwandan genocide:

Syria's situation is as dangerous as that in Rwanda before the genocide, according to the commander of the UN forces who tried in vain to convince the world to intervene.

But why nobody comes up and clearly says that the presence of AQ as the Syrian rebels is the worst problem of this protracted war of muslamic infighting.

syyuge:
Syria crisis: Russia 'hands chemical arms plan to US':

Russia has now handed over to the US its plans for making Syria's chemical weapons safe, Russian media say.

Until Tuesday morning, Mr Obama's government had been lobbying hard for support in Congress for military strikes. But surveys of politicians had shown he was unlikely to win the planned vote.

In a televised speech from the White House, President Obama said the Russian plan and the regime's admission that it held chemical weapons were "encouraging signs". "It's too early to tell whether [the Russian plan] will succeed, and any agreement must verify that the Assad regime keeps its commitments," he said.
