Obama victory was multifactorial...
« on: November 08, 2012, 01:11:28 PM »
Why did the worst president ever win??

-Republicans are split. You have your moderate john mccaine esque neo cons, and the tea party social conservative ones. Did Romney excite the evangelical christians like say huckabee would??

-Demographics-texas will soon be a democrat state when the white majority is eroded. Look at California. As Chaim mentions, bac in the 80's it wasa republican stronghold.

-Everythings dumbed down. Education, tv, movie which  means politics. Did young voters care about weed legalisation, or the fct Amercias going bankcrupt???

White persons not Hispanic, percent, 2011  44.8%

Texas already has a white minority status but we still don't get any benefits for being a minority here and I doubt we ever will.

Sometimes the statistics can get muddled up because the Census Bureau often calls people of mixed Mexican Indian/Spanish descent as white. If someone is a pure Spaniard or close to it I'd agree but they will often call people that are almost pure Indio white. I think that's why they divide it into White (Hispanic) and White (Non-Hispanic). Unfortunately they also count people like Arabs and Iranians as white too and I don't agree with that either so the number is probably actually a lot less than that 44.8%.

If Texas becomes another Blue state the US would become a single party regime.

Don't worry. After 2016, you wont ever have to vote again.

I doubt it will come to that. The question is whether we will really have fair elections ever again.

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities
Duet 16:13-14
