Computer Election Day Bugs Give Likud Black Eye
Netanyahu urges Likud members to go to the polls to nominate Likud MKs, but colossal foul-ups leave long lines of frustrated Likudniks.
The Likud is suffering a black eye on primaries Election Day due to colossal computer foul-ups, leaving long lines of frustrated Likud members. Hundreds of others have simply given up and returned back home or to work.
Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar urged officials to halt the election process. He wrote on his Facebook page, “Stop the elections now and hold them on a new date to be determined.”

Likud Primaries Vote to be Extended
Likud's Election Committee decided to extend the vote until midnight, and possibly past Sunday, because of computer failures.
By 6:00 p.m., it was reported that 23.5% of eligible Likud voters had participated in the polling.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon in the early afternoon, regarding the possible extension.
Yaalon said after the meeting: "I spoke with the prime minister a short while ago. I proposed that today's computerized voting process be stopped and that the vote be continued manually in the coming days."
Yaalon said that whoever has already voted will not have to vote again and his vote will be counted. He suggested that the manual vote take place next weekFull article here:
