The American people refuse to see what's coming for them with the set of politicians now in office... Most of them are old and tired and just want to pass a few more years kicking the old can down the road... Meaningful reform that would improve the situation would take some real work... Many of them would not be able to buy the support needed to retain office if such reform were to be actually put in place... In the end it's easier to attend movie viewings and draft useless legislation about popcorn consumption in the capital building.
