I will not condemn Feiglin for bowing

I will not join in condemning Feiglin for bowing in prayer at the Temple mount. Everyone knows that a Jew is not allowed to pray at the holiest site in Judaism, why of course. And any open demonstration of prayer is a punishable offense by the Waqf, and of course the Israeli police work in concert with the arab waqf in turning over any Jews who happen to violate the ban of Jewish prayer.

I do not condemn him for heavens sake, I think what he did was brilliant. The more righteous Jews who stand up against the Waqf the more we demonstrate the we want the Temple rebuilt, the sooner we will witness the redemption. Of course there are Rabbis who will speak out against Feiglin, and I can hear their cries already. But the issue is not whether he prayed in a spot which might be the holy of holies which a regular Jew is not permitted to occupy or not.. The issue is whether the Temple mount is a Jewish holy site or not. The dirty arab scoundrels are openly desecrating our site, destroying precious artifacts of the Temple. If Jews do not stand up and make it clear that we are never going to forget that the Temple will be rebuilt, and our redemption from subjugation to the nations will begin hopefully soon, we are doomed.

Police: Indict Feiglin Over Temple Mount Bowing

Report: Police to recommend that Moshe Feiglin be prosecuted over his bowing down during a visit to the Temple Mount.

The Jerusalem District police intends to recommend that Likud Beytenu candidate Moshe Feiglin be prosecuted over his visit to the Temple Mount and that it be done even before the elections, Channel 10 News reported on Tuesday.

Feiglin, head of the Likud's Jewish Leadership faction, was detained by police on Tuesday morning after bowing down during a visit to the Temple Mount. This is not the first time that Feiglin has been arrested for worshiping on the Mount.

The Temple Mount is the holiest site in the world according to Judaism. It is also home to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Police allow Jews to visit the site, but they are forbidden to pray in the area or show other outward signs of worship due to fears that Jewish prayer would inflame Muslim anger.

According to Channel 10, the police decided to recommend that Feiglin be prosecuted for offenses of obstructing the work of a police officer, violating a legal order and misconduct in a public place.

The report noted that the police are aware that Feiglin is a realistic candidate for the Knesset on behalf of the Likud Beytenu and therefore want to try him before January 22's election.

Feiglin was released from police custody despite having refused to sign a pledge to refrain from prayer on the Temple Mount for a set period of time.

He was previously arrested during the Sukkot holiday for allegedly praying on the Temple Mount – a charge he denied. Then, too, police insisted that he agree to restrictive conditions prior to release, but he refused to sign.

A court ordered his release later in the day, and he walked free immediately.


Some of you will think this is an attempt to gain some fame before the elections... Even if this is true, what he did is correct in my opinion.

That's a little confusing.  Why would you condemn him for bowing at Temple Mount?

This is kind of like saying "I won't join in the deform movement's praise of Yassir Arafat" 
Or, "I won't join the Israeli regime in condemning Jewish settlers and calling for expulsion."

No one here should expect you to do any of that.

Sorry KWRBT, I was being sarcastic. Sometimes I title threads to cause people to read it to figure out what I am trying to say. It is a journalistic style, so to speak. But as I also wrote, and you know it is true, that there is a ban by many Rabbis on going onto the Temple mount. They may find cause to condemn him...
