No, that was another one of those silly fake documentaries, using a couple of manuscripts that had been blurred to contradict the vast majority of manuscripts which all say 666.

According to christian biblical studies, 6 is the number of man and of imperfection, the number of the beast is the number of man and imperfection written three times over. A common view among christians I meet with is that the beast is Islam.

666 is a good number. It is a number that is bad for evil people, and that's why evil people are so worried about it.
Good people should be happy.

In fact, just about every superstition I've heard of is the same story. They are good signs for good people, but they portend the evil people losing their power.

It is said that the beast who's number is 666 will serve the devil, not be the devil. It's a common misunderstanding that it will be devil.

It's a christian belief, not a Jewish one, so I wouldn't expect you to believe it cosmokramer, it is one of the many things I as a Christian disagree with Jews about.

In Revelations it says that people who do not have the mark of the beast (666) on their heads and arms will not be allowed to buy, sell or trade with anyone. When Whalid Shoebat saw the 666 scripture in the original Greek he read it in arabic as bismallah which means "in the name of Allah" in arabic. Here's a picture:

The Jihadi suicide bombers (both hamas and hizbollah) wear this inscription on their heads and arms. Muslims will commonly refuse to do trade with nonmuslims. So both of these predictions seem to fit rather nicely. On top of that muslims commonly say that 666 is the number of islam. Though I am not entirely sure why. Also in revelations it says that those who refuse the mark will be beheaded. What group of people do we know that behaves like this? The plot thickens...

As Cyrizian didn't label those images in a very detailed matter, I'll clarify briefly, the handwritten text is the greek for 666 from an old manuscript of the book of revelations, the gold is the arabic for "bismallah", literraly, "in the name of allah".
