The Patriot Act--explaining some misperceptions
« on: July 15, 2007, 09:36:46 AM »
The Patriot Act is necessary.

Not all Muslims commit acts of terrorism.  However, all terrorists are Muslim and they blend in with other Muslims.  Thus, the way to get terrorists out of the country would be to deport them.

Options consist of the following:

1) Deportation

2) Spying on them

Since the government is too cowardly to deport terrorists, they opted for #2.

The ACLU believes that all Muslims are peaceful people.  I wouldn't trust the ACLU when they tell you the Patriot Act is evil and it violates your "civil liberties."

The State of Israel has on its books a law allowing the State to arrest and detain, without any charges, and without allowing access to legal counsel, any person suspected of being a terrorist, or any person suspected by the State of potentially being a terrorist.

This law is used daily by the Israeli Government to arrest and silence any and all political dissent expressed by good, righteous, and nationalist Jews.

In other words, each and every person on this forum is subject to arrest and indefinite detention (including torture), simply for the crime of thinking that Israel should annex Judaea, Samaria, Yesha, and the Golan.

And this, my friends, is exactly THE PATRIOT ACT.

Of all cases prosecuted by the Federal Government using The Patriot Act, almost none of them to date have anything to do with being a terrorist, fomenting terrorism, or giving material or financial aid to terrorists.

It is obvious that most here praising THE PATRIOT ACT have never once read it.

THE PATRIOT ACT allows the government to seize and search, without a warrant, all persons and property, for any reason whatsoever.  THE PATRIOT ACT clearly states that the Federal Government may not only seize and search without a warrant, but may arrest, detain indefinitely without access to legal counsel, anyone and everyone "...for suspicion of terrorist activities, as well as all other crimes".

In other words, THE PATRIOT ACT renders null and void the U.S. Constitution, and renders null and void THE BILL OF RIGHTS.

Any of you "great conservatives" on the forum care to explain to the rest of the readership why Ebay.com was charged with two Federal counts of violations of The Patriot Act?

Or...must I continue to be personally attacked on this forum, and be forced to read such absurd opinions as those claiming The Patriot Act is "necessary" because "the government is too cowardly" to actually take action against those in our midst who actually are terrorists?

Is anyone aware that Bush just last week announced that he's bringing "the first 7,000 Iraqi refugees" (out of the half-million expected soon) to the United States to grant them "full refugee status"; to live off of welfare at taxpayers' expense?...and undoubtedly pose a tremendous terror threat right in the United States?

Don't like it?

You better just grin and bear it, because if you express outrage over it, you may be the next one prosecuted under The Patriot Act (which again, allows the U.S. Government to "disappear" anyone for any reason, without warrant, and without charges.

In addition...if any of you have any "ideas" about "stopping the Muslim flow into the U.S.", you may be arrested and detained under The Patriot Act!..."hate speech"..."incitement"..."suspicion of harboring terrorist intentions"....etc. etc.

What?

You say that nothing has happened to you so far?...So that proves you're right and that I'm wrong regardless of the facts?...

We'll see if your minds change once Hillary and Obama take power with The Patriot Act in place, ready to use to silence and imprison anyone who disagrees with International Socialism.
