It seems pretty clear to me that this was a crash of a secret project (a lot of top-secret projects were being developed at the time). There was quite an effort to keep the technology secret at the time. Today we don't know anything about secrecy and look at what our enemies have been able to develop using technology stolen from us. The last great secret project was the Stealth Bomber and today virtually everyone knows about it's construction...

I've seen that show on Fox about the moon landing.  it's on youtube as well as some very good shows on the Roswell crash.
