Newman's observations on "StørmFrønt": "...They have ZERO chance. No rational American would saddle up to their anti-semitic, black helicopter conspiracy rubbish..."
I tend to agree with you, Newman.
However, it is a historical fact that in the 1920's almost everyone in the world, both German and non-German, stated this exact identical view as regards the chance of success of Herr Hitler ("the little clown with the funny moustache") and his Nazi Party ever being taken seriously by the "highly civilized and cultured German People".
In the 1920's, Germany held the same position with regards to advancement in every field of science, education, arts, music, medicine, philosophy, etc. as does the U.S.A. in 2007. Then, as now, no reasonable person would give serious consideration to the possibility of "the lunatic fringe" taking full power over the world's most advanced and powerful nation.
All of my life, I've heard Jews both young and old tell each other "It can't happen here!" -- a proud boastful statement not subject to dispute, as regards their confidence in the permanent stability of America and its life of freedom guaranteed to Jews.
In my opinion, the America of 2007 offers no guaranties of socio-economic and political stability.
Given a series of "unexpected and unforeseen events, a lunatic fringe political group of thugs very well could rise to power here, and like in Weimar Germany of the 1930's it could all happen within the time span of 10 years or less.
