 I don't believe that the majority of the American religious people have even read a bible or will only pick and choose from the bible and probably don't even know what modern Israel means and how important it is to biblical prophecy or that a large portion of the bible is about Israel. Many churches are to busy indoctrinating homosexuality or even having homosexual preachers saying that Gd made them this way (yes I actually met someone who said their "Gay Priest" said gd made them gay). The other part of America is largely indifferent and uneducated about the nation of Israel to even care.

Kennedy was no prize, he put immense pressure on Israel to abandon her nuclear program.

Ironically enough since in many ways he was a poor president Lyndon Johnson was probably the most pro-Israel president.
