For the heaven and hell question, obviously there's detailed discussions about it in Talmud, and Rambam gives a long explanation, there's two places in Torah that directly refer to it, and though I forget the verses, Tag or Muman could probably direct you:
The first says something along the lines of: I am paying my haters cash to their face so that I can destroy them for eternity, and the second says the righteous will be rewarded for their good deeds for eternity. Since both refer to eternity, and this life is not eternal, it isn't a reward here, but after this "life".
