Is it halachically permissible for a Torah Orthodox Jew to attend a Kwanzaa celebration?

It is a made up holiday made up by Afro-centric negroes to make themselves feel like they had something different & unique & was created in the late 60's

I think if the descendants of African slaves want to celebrate their release from bondage and their freedom that's legitimate but then why would they make it look like a mockery of Hanukkah and Christmas?

Because, quite frankly, they're meshuggah.

Why don't they celebrate Dingaan's Day like they did in South Africa before the blacks took over.
Dingaan was Shaka Zulu's brother,Dingaan killed Shaka Zulu & became king & in honor of the defeat of Shaka they celebrated Dingaan's Day for years until Mandela took over.

Don't forget your kenorah.

I am not sure what the Halacha is on this... Is it is religious holiday? If it is and it worships a false deity we are most certainly forbidden from engaging in any of the rituals involved with it. If it is a secular day there may be lenient opinions which allow us (as in the case of Thanksgiving). I know nothing about this invented 'holiday'. It is not Jewish so I may invoke the concept of the Torah forbidding us from following the ways of the non-Jews (do not emulate the ways of the nations)...

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities
Duet 16:13-14
