Do whatever you want.

It makes no difference to me.

reality should make a difference to you though.

If one of them wasn't him i'm sure he'd have kicked up a fuss.

He seems to be behaving far better than he has in the past!  I think he's even trying to be friendlier with people so that they agree with him on other issues!

Normally he is cursing other members.

I was recently the recipient of a carefully prepared right hook from a fearesome-looking (white) contribution to society, less than half my age, who was trying (unsuccessfully) to rob our Post Office. It sent me sprawling across the room, but I remained able to fight him off long enough for the alarm to be raised. I still can't work out why I wasn't left unconscious..I didn't even have a mark. I wondered if he was doing something wrong.

By the way, he was identified by fingerprints, CCTV, witnesses, and admitting the whole thing to others. Shortly after the event the police were given his name and address. What did he get? Nothing. Welcome to the UK.

regarding it not leaving a mark-
maybe you saw it coming and jumped out of the way at the same speed as his hand, at the time the hand connected.  I guess you moved your torso back quickly and lost balance

There have been two instances when I played table tennis that I managed to do a weird winning and almost unreturnable shot that nobody understood.. as if the ball was glued to the bat!  The similarity with your situation must have been as the bat came back.

regarding you not going unconscious..  I did have an exercise book written by a boxer, which said that you get knocked out if your head moves too fast.. that can happen if somebody throws a good punch and you have a weak neck..
http://www.rossboxing.com/thegym/thegym15.htm
BTW, one of his exercises messed up my jaw a bit.. one where you hold your chin and push down. Years ago I tried it and did it with my mouth open..

I have never tried hitting with a loose fist or a tight fist.  I believe any blow to the gut, in a surprise move, can stop someone.   My friend in law enforcement has told me a good black belt in Karate can disable someone in just seconds, if you nail them in the right places!

Neck, colarbone, groin, and back area of the kidneys.

or a knee if close range..

in what fight situations do you think it's ok to do it?

I don't normally hear of muggers kicking somebody in the groin.. do you think it'd be unprincipled to do it to them?  Like it's not fighting man to man.

Well in a fight if a guy threw a kick at you and you caught it you could punch the face then the gut then if you were quick enough you could go to a standing crucifix where you could unload 1 knee after another.
With that you could go to the ground and put a crucifix on the ground and choke him out

looking at the standing crucifix demonstrated here,

how did he pull his head down and under the same arm that he hit him with?
did he grab his ear and yank?!

Not that good a clip
When you have control of a leg if he kicks. You use your free hand to go to the back of his head then in a quick motion you let the leg go while pulling his head towards your body.
You need to lock your hands together not like in the Thai clinch because it can be easily broken

I think Cro Cop's punches are so devious, if he retires, he should teach his method, make it a martial art!

bob sapp, sakuraba,  josh barnett - eye sockets I think

Irritating the eye of Yamamoto whenever he wanted..

I don't see anybody else able to do anything like that!

That was because they were always looking for his kick and they would not be ready for those punches he would snap off

They almost all claim in interviews that it was like a finger or thumb in the eye. Yet you never really see how he did it.   A suprise punch  wouldn't keep doing that.. sometimes people get knocked out from a suprise punch.. But to always get their eye messed up , and in the same way, is a bit different.

And howcome we don't see that problem in kickboxing.

In Kickboxing there gloves are like boxing gloves just a little smaller
