What a bunch of lies packed in a package which make it look academic.
I read some of that tripe and disagreed with virtually all of its findings.
Of all religions today Judaism has the most progressive ideas concerning women. What is odd is that the fact that women have different commandments than men disturb those who consider it 'gender inequality'. The fact is that women and men are not equal as we have different physical and emotional characteristics. To assume that we are all equal is a falsehood that progressivism seeks to suggest. But I have never heard within our community of any of the women being beaten, emotionally abused, or what-not.
There is no stigma and women are fully free to report any problems in the home. But this doesn't exist in our community.
I am sure there are domestic issues in every home. Judaism seeks to work out problems between partners through a thing called Shalom Bayit (Peace in the home) and the men have a great responsibility to satisfy their wives and make them happy in the home.
