According to Leith Abou Fadel, who is the editor of the pro-Assad syrian newspaper "Al Masdar" and has links to Assad, the Chinese are expected to build up a military presence in Hmamiyat airbase, near Jableh, Syria, in the coming weeks and months. I trust Leith because he was the first person to mention Russia's coming presence in Syria weeks before any mainstream news article wrote about it and he has connections to Assad himself. China is extremely concerned about Turkestan Islamic Party terrorists in Syria. According to Leith, Putin has held talks with Assad about establishing an alternative anti-ISIS coalition in Syria with Russian, Chinese, and Brazilian forces.
