He's right and commendable on just about everything, but since he only could praise the pope who just called for an eco-socalist mexican-majority state in the USA, she could just hit him there again and again. And it made me realize why he's so completely unappealing to idiots. He does the thing where you don't answer the question forever. I could have given clear answers to all those questions, and expounded. That's what Trump does, and the media hates it and complains, and gives him free publicity. You can see he's making sure he doesn't say anything for the media to twist, which his campaign planners think is smart and people think is tricky and annoying. Obviously the questions are traps, so it takes clever answers to win and sometimes they get you and gloat spastically in the papers for days. Carson is doing it too, he makes some stupid mistake, and all the media spends the day giving him publicity. The mistake isn't what makes people like these populists, it's the fact that they didn't do what the system they had a problem with in the first place wants. Ted Cruz can fit into the cracks and work with the system, which is what he didn't realize he walked into with the "bi-partisan support" question, but people want it torn down. No one will believe you're fighting something you can work with.

His actions do all speak for themselves. Very bold and shows he's fighting the bad guys for the people. Most people do not remember the news beyond two weeks. They need constant reminders that you are doing the right thing, shock people by suddenly dropping deeply principled statements, then explain.

I believe that Cruz is an honest politician trying to do the right thing... Being an insider however he knows the limitations he will face as an honest president and is being careful not to say to many things that will may come back to haunt him in a general election or  the presidency... Sadly the way he deals with the media is not getting him anywhere... He needs to step it up when speaking about immigration, foreign policy and money issues and say a little less on right to life and social issues... People already know he is good on that part of the picture they need to see the rest of the picture which he is not really presenting correctly...

You believe that. That is a logical reaction, because you have probably studied his actions and listened to his words, and as such, him beating tactically around the bush shows he knows how to deal with liberals. We are not marketing to a mostly logical populace, and add on top that impressions are everything to an uninformed populace, and most that you do inform on, they will forget and remember how they felt about the person/thing after you provided them with information, which isn't worth nearly anything. Emotionally thinking, him not answering directly says he is afraid of the reporter and her people, him beating around the bush means that he knows the American people won't like what he has to say (and by extension, what he wants is bad) and is just trying to get the acceptable stuff out while he keeps his evil plans to surprise people with when he wins. People like Trump for many reasons, one is watching the media lie about him when he makes a gaffe, even though they don't need to. If Ted Cruz makes good yet controversially worded statements, he shows the American people he's with them, and will get a ton of press.
