Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, spoke with voters at a televised MSNBC town hall in South Carolina Wednesday night ahead of Saturday’s critical primary vote in the Palmetto State.

When asked by an audience member how he would approach negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Trump pledged to be both neutral and unpredictable.

“Let me be sort of a neutral guy,” Trump said. “There has to be a certain amount of surprise and unpredictability. Our country has no unpredictability.”

On whether he would able to forge a lasting peace as president, Trump admitted it would be a difficult endeavor, but promised to give it “one hell of a shot.”

“A lot of people say an agreement can’t be made,” he acknowledged. “It’s possible it’s not makeable."

When asked by MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough who he felt was more at fault for the Arab-Israeli conflict, Trump refused to give a direct answer, responding “I don’t want to get into it.”

His follow up comments, however, gave some indication of his views on the issue.

“You have one side in particular growing up and learning that these are the worst people – these people are the worst people, et cetera, et cetera.”

“I was with a very prominent Israeli the other day and he says [a deal is] impossible because the other side has been trained since the time they’re children to hate Jewish people. But I will give it one hell of a shot.”

Trump continues to lead the GOP field nationwide in the Real Clear Politics average of polls, though Texas Senator Ted Cruz has cut into Trump’s lead and is leading in the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll. The New York billionaire is heavily favored to win in South Carolina on Saturday.

For a POTUS to be "neutral" towards Israel is excellent and was R.Kahane's policy and Chaim's.

As Chaim said about Bush jr in 2000: "All Bush has to do to be a succesful president like Reagan is not to get involved with Israel: not to help Israel, nor hinder her!".

R.Kahane's policy was not to accept any money from the USA, which is a total anathema to the Israeli Establishment!

You are misunderstanding what neutral means in the real world.
It means pressuring Israel to make more concessions to the Fakestinians and trying to stop Jewish settlements and the building of Jerusalem.
It means giving into part of the demands of the Jihadists but not all of them.
It is not a "hands off" policy.

Also if you look more into the article above he said "neutral" in the context in regarding to "forging" a peace deal.
He is not talking about ignoring the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Neutral is in, it's up to Israel to make concessions to stop the terrorism.

Don't worry, Mr. Trump..should you become president and behave in this manner, Gd will sure be neutral with the US when something Gd forbid happens with ISIS or China or Russia or fill in the blank.
If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.

In your heart you know WE are right and in your guts you know THEY are nuts!

Yeah sure, "Neutral", while Israel, G-d forbid, potentially caves in to it's main nemesis
and the rest of their enemies! Trump is at best duplicitous on many paramount issues
while the incredible Ted Cruz is out and out totally pro Israel and would most definitely
do his best to influence Bibi Netanyoyo not to make any concessions with any of these demons despite the stand he took with regard to this particular situation and Bibi in general.

So we already have a N. Korea, and Iran which are ramping up their nuclear facilities and ICBMS.  Then we will get Trump who is trigger happy anyway, and he doesn't care or know the history of Israel, or the history of God blessing nations that support Israel.   We are on the cliff, getting ready to go over the edge.  God will never bless a nation that is hostile or not supportive to Israel.
