I know exactly who Clinton is. I also didn't forget who Trump was, and I still see no relevant differences between their policies, expect Trump is much worse on trade.

This is not about Cruz. I'll reserve anything I may or may not want to say until the primaries are over, there's still a chance. Elizabeth Warren had an advantage claiming she was Native American.  What happens when people like her get an unfair advantage over my child. 
If that is okay...then I guess we should all lie when it comes to forms.  Today I feel like a black transgendered person, because now transgender bumps out women who bumped out men, who is 1/2 hispanic and 1/2 Native American.  I might not be qualified.  But I am ethnically/gender entitled.
I have done a great disservice to my child.  I should have advised her to leave those questions blank or make better choices.  He is bringing up the big elephants in the room.  Albeit, with not much eloquence or good grammar.  Sadly, all that stuff didn't help Cruz one iota.

At first it bothered me.  A lot.
But how did Cruz allow himself to be labeled Lying Ted?  By Lying Trump.
He stood there and took it.  He tried to take the highroad. All the darn time.
So, he is smart and principled.  But it made him look weak and it stuck.  I can't tell you how many people called him Lying Ted when I tried to convince them to take a look at his platform.  I would have wanted him to show outrage and emotion each and every time it happened right to his face.  He wasn't debating in front of the supreme court.

It's called emotional manipulation. Anyone who does marketing does it. The satisfaction will turn to horror when you experience "buyer's remorse".

There are several thousand things I would have improved about his campaign, but "after the battle, everyone is the Admiral."

If you don't recall, Cruz was the first to go after names with "ducking donald" and "trumper tantrump". It didn't go viral, not because it wouldn't have if it was Cruz refusing a debate offer from Chump, but because Cruz supporters weren't repeating it.

There are things I can discuss that can be improved about his campaign, but taking the high road wasn't the issue, although it touches on one.
