Ivanka Trump
« on: January 24, 2017, 08:53:39 PM »
My rabbi, who is a member of the RCA, said it's not true that a convert who stops keeping Halacha is no longer Jewish. He said it in response to my question about Ivanka Trump and her attendance at the mixed dancing Inaugural Ball on Shabbat. He also said that it violates several Torah prohibitions regarding how we should treat converts to question their Jewishness. Once a qualified Bet Din confirms the conversion, then they are Halachically Jewish and can't stop being Jewish. He said that's what the Shulchan Aruch says.

I am certainly not an expert on this subject, but I agree with your rabbi 100%.   Questioning her Jewishness is so against what I was brought up to believe... I wish we would stop this.... as it serves nothing, and sends a horrible message.  I hope Ivanka and her family the best.

because she converted at the face of her marriage, her true reason of conversion is 50\50.  only Gd knows whats in her heart.
If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.

In your heart you know WE are right and in your guts you know THEY are nuts!

Chaim claimed in one of his videos that Ivanka converison is not offical.  Well, I'm also not an expert on this but I feel that she is offically Jewish.  I've done plenty of things on the Sabbath that I'm not supposed to do.  I don't think that I'll be punished in the afterlife for it.

While its true that Jared was the impetus to her conversion.... if you want to find the truth about someone's heart... look at how they raise their kids.  Ivanka would not send her kids to Jewish school, and raise them as Jews as some sort of publicity stunt.  That's not how parents think.

Kinda like how leftist elitists tell everyone that they believe in diversity and socialism, yet they send their kids to private schools, and raise them in monochromatic neighborhoods.  I wonder why????
