NCJW: Israeli Ban on BDS Supporters Damages Democracy

This hideous Leftist organization also blocked me on Twitter after I expressed my opinion in a relatively small number of Tweets about their positions.  While J Street,  ADL, many other Leftist Jewish organizations rightfully get heavy criticism from the Right,  NCJW basically gets a free pass.  They need to be exposed!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NCJW: Israeli Ban on BDS Supporters Damages Democracy

March 10, 2017, NEW YORK – Recent legislation passed by the Israeli Knesset bars visas and residency rights to those who support boycotts of either Israel or the settlements. The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), which does not support the BDS movement, stands in stark opposition to this bill. In a statement today, Nancy K. Kaufman, CEO of NCJW, expressed her disappointment in the Israeli government’s erosion of democratic values through this legislation, including freedom of speech:
“This new law is part of a growing trend that censors robust political debate as part of a healthy democracy. American Jews were raised to have pride in Israel as a bastion of democracy in the Middle East. Will these same Jews now be questioned at the door about their political viewpoints before being allowed to enter our beloved Israel?

“NCJW opposes attempts to discriminate against those who advocate for nonviolent strategies. We believe in free speech and we are committed to upholding the right of Israelis and others to boycott ‘territories under its control’ as a protest and show of support for the two state solution.

“There is a robust civil society in Israel that is working hard to fight anti-democratic steps. We will continue to support these groups – the kind which we depend upon in the United States to protect our own civil liberties. In the same way that we support Israel when she is threatened by her enemies in times of war, we must support Israel in this time of a slow but steady war against democracy itself.”

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. More information on Facebook and on Twitter at @NCJW.
"Israel's leaders seem to be more afraid of Obama than they are of G-d. Now we're getting to the real root of the problem. Secular politics won't save Israel. Denying the divine nature of the Jewish State has brought Israel neither stability nor peace. When that changes Israel will finally be blessed with both in abundance"-----------NormanF   ( Posted on Israel Matzav's Blog )
