Mouthbreathing, inbred Charedim on the march
« on: March 28, 2017, 02:33:38 PM »
Instead of leaping at the opportunity to fulfil the obligatory mitzvah of Milchemes Mitzvah in "defending Israel against an enemy that comes against it" (Rambam) & signing up for Haredi battalions, droves of mouthbreating genetically deteriorating inbred, from too many first cousin marriages, Charedim zealously demonstrate against the mitzvah!

On the other hand, on looking at some of their mugs, they have deteriorated so far genetically, that may not be fit even for being Zahal jobniks!

Perhaps you should look at this from an other perspective.

You have so many different living Jewish religious groups in Israel. This is in my oppinion one major strength of the Jewish people.  Each one can grow new strenght for the Jewish nation in different ways.

Of cause it is hard for strictly religious people to deal with the state which is mostly secular. The frictions are huge. They have the wish to be on their own and not in a gouverment organization, were they have to do things necessarely that are against their believes. If you try this they will hate the state, what is perhaps sometimes already the case.

I think the way to deal with this issue is to speak to them directly and ask them what they can provide freely, because the burdens of a society must be shared. Perhaps they can do some social things, like cooking food for poor or visit the old ones and help them.

In addition they have big families and add to the Jewish nation.

So don't judge them so hard. It will not change anything.

The Haredim are not taught English or arithmetic.

They produce hardly any genuine Torah scholars, accountants, bookeepers, dentists, doctor, pharmacists, medical technicians, plumbers, electricians, soldiers, bus drivers, taxi drivers, train drivers, clerks, repair men or even street sweepers & trash collectors. A handful become sofers, alef beis teachers and kashrus shomrim.

Inter-Haredi group rivalry, envy & hatred is intense.

Due to poor leadership from their rebbes and ravs the Haredim have now permanently lost the Jewish Work Ethic.

With a relentless 6-16 children per family, the Haredim are set to become the majority in Israel in 2040.

When R.Kahane would try to address them in Geulah and Bnei Brak, they would physically assault him & hound him out.

50 years ago R.Kahane said "The Haredim are irrelevant!" They still are!

Yerusha what you say is somewhat true regarding some of the Hassidim. Litvaks are very opposed to cousin marriages and their education system is also considered much better which is why many Hassidim and Shasnics  prefer it.

We're about to give the Arabs a state.  Israel's got other problems as well.

Litvaks are not Hasidim. But they are Haredim.

Yerusha generalizes his statement to all Haredim which is very factually incorrect. Only a portion of Hassidim are sort of primitives. Specifically regarding inbreeding, I think it is practiced by some of their Admor courts like it European royalties, its not standard practice of the "commoners". The Litvaks are very much opposed to it.

Speaking of cousin marriages, it was very much the norm among the Iranian Jews of my parents generation.

One good thing Lapid was on the verge of accomplishing was to have put these Haredi mouthbreathers in to gainful employment!

It was very much the norm in my maternal grandfather's family who came from various parts of the Russian Empire.
He was the first not to marry a cousin.

The Rothschilds used to marry cousins for several successive  generations.
