Compared to stuff today, fine, and the dress is even overkill, but the issue here is we have a very strict halacha, and if you don't follow it, especially with something public, then you're not Orthodox.

Every real Rabbi who knows anything about it does. That's not a very controversial statement, it's like saying he'd say a homosexual marriage isn't worth the paper it's on, this is pretty basic.
