A Palestinian gunman got out of a blue Mitsubishi and opened fire at a bus stop filled with soldiers and civilians outside the West Bank settlement of Givat Assaf off of route 60.
The terrorist then returned to his car and fled the scene.
Two were killed on the spot and two were seriously injured. One was taken to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center and the other to the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. Both are said to be in critical condition; reportedly, the victim who was taken to Hadassah has suffered a bullet wound to the head.
Reportedly the car was dumped, and the terrorist fled to Ramallah on foot. The IDF is hunting down the terrorist now, and has put Ramallah on lockdown.
“As we understand, the car fled somewhere near Ramallah. So, we have blocked all entry points to Ramallah and all exit points. We are conducting searches there, and we’ll be operating in this area for the foreseeable future,” the IDF spokesman Jonathan Conricus told a briefing.
