Syrian Official in North Korea for Talks
(IsraelNN.com) A senior leader of the Syrian Ba’ath Arab Socialist Party, Sa’id Eleia Dawud met in Pyongyang, North Korea Friday morning for talks with the Choe Tae Bok, central committee secretary for North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party.
The official Korean Central News Agency reported that the two men discussed “issues of bilateral interest,” without further details on the agenda for the meeting.
Foreign media reported last week that a Syrian nuclear installation under construction with assistance from North Korea was bombed by Israel Air Force pilots. Israel has declined to comment on the report.
