https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Person_of_color Men of color redirects to the above article.
It was originally the name referring to people with mixed European and black African descent, basically like Mulatto was used in Latin America. Of the Squad members, only Ayanna Pressley qualifies since she is an American black and most are mixed with whites from the slavery era. Omar is a black from Africa so she doesn't qualify and Tlaib is an Arab who claims to be fakestinian, which also doesn't qualify. Ocasio-Cortez would qualify if she can trace any black in her blood since the term was originally used for mixed peoples the Caribbeans.
If using the term colored, all blacks qualify.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ColoredWomen of color is completely made up for political reasons.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_of_color I guess these people are feminists and think they are of a separate species distinct from men so "women of color" are not the female equivalent of men of color so they need a separate article.
The term people of color originates from freed slaves with partial white ancestry. So real people of color "have dat white devil blood in dem, UMM HMM".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_people_of_colorThe term gens de couleur was commonly used in France's West Indian colonies prior to the abolition of slavery, where it was a short form of gens de couleur libres (French: [ʒɑ̃ də kulœʁ libʁ], "free people of color"). It referred specifically to free people of mixed race, primarily African and European.[1]
