No one will try to put you in a shower anymore.  There's no reason not to convert from Christianity to Judaism.

I have 4 great-grandparents whose families originated in Poland, 3 great-grandparents whose families originated in Lithuania, and one great-grandparent whose family originated in Russia.  Therefore that's 1/2, 3/8, and 1/8.  Make more sense now?

I agree with you Vito. What is this 'born a Jew, Always a Jew' (by religion) or "Born a Christian, ALWAYS a Christian" mess? People convert because of personal reasons. I don't think anyone who converts owes anyone else an explaination of why.

It's an interesting subject I think. I'm very interested in peoples ethnic background, and obviously so are all the people that posted in the thread so far

We do discuss meaningful subjects, but we ARE humans and have various interests.. so I think this forum is better off having multiple topics rather than just sticking to one topic and being political robots.

That's right acording to resistance and escapees raports gass chambers in Belzec, Sobibor and Treblinka Extermination Camps were camouflaged as showers; the people were told by SS gaurds that they will be showered after yourney in crowded cattle wagons.
