-
I hate that Rapist Kobe Bryant >:(
-
I only like the Nuggets since I am from Denver
-
most of the games have been on shavuot so far... but yeah i'm keeping an eye on it... i too am a lifetime laker fan... but i think the celts are just too strong for them this year... the lakers have to win all three of these home games of theirs just to stand a chance... 'cause maybe they can win one out of two back in boston... but no-way are they ever going to win two in a row in boston gardens... no-way jose!!!! not in a million years... not given the fans back there... not given the laker franchise history in that building... not given boston's ny yankee-esqe legendary prowess on their own homecourt... next year maybe for the lakes... just my take... they needed game 2 to win this series... too bad... great, great comeback... just fell short... and so will the lakers in this whole series probably this time around... i hope i'm wrong... but that's the way i see it going down... nik. out...

Yes, I know that the Celts are next to impossible to beat at home. But we beat the Jazz in Utah.... which had the toughest record in the league. (twice). And I think your going to see a different team from here on out. You'll see much better defense against KG and Pierce. Thats what Im hoping for anyway. :)

The officiating scandal from the 2002 Western Conference Finals is interesting.

that was most likely a lie that ref might go to jail for 20 + years so he is try to cover his A**

So if he could go to jail for lying, then why are you claiming that he lied?
-
i saw that series back then... sacramento was STRONG!!! i still can't believe the lakers beat them... i'm not saying it was fixed in any way necessarily... i'm just saying i was surprised they beat them... nik.

he's going to jail i think for betting on games he was calling... nik.

Look at Roger Clemens he lied to protect himself and look what happened to him
None of the players from that series believe what he said

Yes.. that ref is a pathetic shame. He desperately wants to take the NBA down with him. He has made all sorts of baseless accusations.

The Lakers were one of the top teams in the NBA that season; though I thought Sacramento was the best team.
In the 2000 Western Conference Finals, when the Lakers came back to defeat Portland, the latter choked.
But in the 2002 series between Sacramento and the Lakers, I thought there were some bad calls and/or calls that weren't made by the officials, toward the end of the series. I didn't think the Lakers outplayed them to win that series and I didn't think Sacramento choked at the end of it.

They called Phantom calls fouls that never happened

Even though i am a New yorker I like the Ducks and the Sharks
-
PHew.... theyre still alive. But boy... 2 games in a row in Boston seems very difficult.
-
I don't like basketball. And even when I did I hated the lakers with a passion  I liked the Bulls and Pistons.
I'm a hockey fan, and some football (playoffs). HUGE Red Wings fan, psyched they won the cup. Like it or not we are an elite hockey club. We can lose a Yzerman or Shanahan and have the oldest (age wise) team in the league and still keep on winning. Secondary scoring, good scouting, puck possession, you name it. Vinny Lecavalier was quoted on NHL Live as saying something to the effect of "They (Det.) kept me from touching the puck for 11 minutes...they're good." I could go on but you guys get the point ;D

Off and on. It's disgusting to see how much the refs are favoring the Ladies. I hate basketball but will support whoever is opposing Kobe the Rapist Bryant. I myself am only a hockey fan. GO DUCKS!
-
Yes... I know.. Everyone hates Kobe. Im used to it.. over here. But he's still a great player.

I am glad Detroit won. It was especially lovely seeing Fleury's arse getting handed to him in games 1 and 2. It was nice seeing the league's little darling team getting its comeuppance. What the refs did to "turn around" Game 1 of the Semifinals (when the Rangers led Pittsburgh 3-0) was downright criminal. So was their complete refusal to acknowledge everybody hitting Briere in the head in the conference final.
Yeah, Crosby and Malkin are great young players, but this worship of them is just getting pathetic. So yeah, I am not a Wings fan, but I was very pleased with the outcome of the SCF.

That's like saying "Hezbollah is a great military". He is the scum of the earth. I am probably the only Californian who hates him, but so be it.
And the game-winning breakway/three-pointer of his last night was such an OBVIOUS foul that I wanted to puke. Garnett was being called for the slightest bumps and collisions and that was allowed?!? Methinks the ugly old Zen Master has been paying off the officiators.

The kid's got mad skills for sure. My favorite forwards are probably, in no particular order, Zetterberg, Selanne, and Kovalchuk.

Who is your favorite Goalie?
-
Jonas Hiller or Ilya Bryzgalov (why the h-e-double hockey sticks did we trade him???)
Conks was on fire all year and I have no idea why Pitts went with Fleury for the playoffs. If they went with Conklin, they'd probably have the Cup.
