The army recently destroyed the Chazon David Synagogue near Kiryat Arba and the ‘Malachei Hashalom’ hill that was established near Kochav Hashachar in memory of Malachi Rosenfeld HY”D.

In the past two weeks, the Israeli army has carried out two demolitions of synagogues on Jewish hilltops. The first was on Thursday March 7th near Kiryat Arba and the second was on March 15th near Kochav Hashachar.

On March 7th, members of the civil administration along with soldiers and police officers arrived at the Chazon David Synagogue near Kiryat Arba and destroyed it. The synagogue has been destroyed and rebuilt countless times. Baruch Marzel said in response to the destruction, “Netanyahu and Yaalon have once again proven that they are tough on Jews. They allow illegal Arab construction to run rampant, but time and again they destroy this synagogue that was built in memory of Jewish victims of terror. Instead of dealing with Arab murderers, the army commander in Hevron chooses to fight Jews. We also cannot forget Naftali Bennett who continues to remain in the government and watch from the sidelines.” Already the next day, residents returned to pray at the site of the synagogue.

About a week later, on March 15th, forces arrived at the Malachei Hashalom hilltop in Binyamin and destroyed a synagogue as well as a home where a family was living. This hilltop was also built in memory of Jewish victims of terror, namely Malachi Rosenfeld HY”D, who was murdered nearby.  Residents of the hilltop responded to the destruction, “We were shocked by the decision of the Regional Commander of Binyamin to destroy the synagogue and hilltop that was established in honor of Jewish victims of terror. We will rebuild the hilltop and we call on the government to support Jewish settlement and not oppose the rights of Jews to settle the land of Israel.”

It is noteworthy that a recent report showed that only 10 out of 230 homes belonging to Arab terrorists have been destroyed. This is of course in addition to countless Arab buildings that were constructed illegally and have not been destroyed.
