“I’m very different from most Republicans”: Trump Now Wants to Raise the Minimum Wage
Now that there isn’t a challenger to sway people from, Trump is free to court whosever vote he needs to win the general.
So why not Bernie supporters?
In an interview on Wednesday with your new Republican presidential candidate, Wolf Blitzer told Trump that Bernie Sanders has been attacking him for wanting to keep the federal minimum wage at $7.25/hr. Trump’s response?
“I’m looking at that, I’m very different from most Republicans.” said Trump, still pretending he is one.
I don’t think I need to tell you how bad of an idea it is to raise the minimum wage. Wage hikes mean price hikes, and soon the raised wages becomes moot. As a man with a very good brain who has said a lot of words, and is a businessman, you’d figure this would be something he’d walk away from.
Not Trump, apparently.
“But you’re open to raising the minimum wage,” said Blitzer.
“I’m open to doing something with it, because I don’t like that,” said Trump. “But what I really do like is bring our jobs back so they’re making more $15 an hour.”

Brace yourselves, folks. While I doubt it will hurt his chances with Republicans at all now, Trump is free and clear to begin pandering to whomever he needs to now that Ted Cruz is out of the picture. I more than expect to see him reverse, and soften on a good number of positions.
If the Republicans who voted for him don’t start feeling a little buyers remorse within the next couple of months, I’ll be…never mind. Nothing surprises me anymore.
